Almost Christmas!

Christmas is almost here! I've been enjoying a few days off from work (although I've packed so much into 2 days, it feels like work!). We are leaving tomorrow for SC to spend Christmas with my parents, sister, bro-in-law, nephew, and niece - it should be tons of fun! Wills is doing great - he has the very beginning of an ear infection, so he started an antibiotic today. He has adjusted greatly to the toddler room at day care - he is in a room with all of the "young toddlers". His two teachers are wonderful and seem to really enjoy him. The best part is that they have a pretty routine day, so he naps from noon to 2 every day...and he has been sleeping very well at night! He's even had a couple of 12 hour nights, which I didn't think would ever happen!

Here are a few pics - us picking out a Christmas tree and celebrating Christmas at my aunt and uncle's house in SC a few weeks ago.

More to come...

But for now, I couldn't resist sharing this picture...Wills has discovered Chef-Boy-R-Dee...and needless to say, he loves it!

Santa?

We're getting in the Christmas spirit this weekend! I took Wills to see Santa with my friend Shannon and her little girl Scarlett this morning. We got there extra early so that we didn't have to wait long. Wills didn't cry, but he certainly didn't seem to happy about sitting in Santa's lap :)

Thanksgiving and Stuff!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in NC with Grandpa and Grandma and puppies and family galore! Wills got to play with all of his 2nd cousins - they wore him out! We also took him to play at Barnes & Noble on a rainy day - he loved that too!

Kangazoom

We took Wills to Kangazoom yesterday morning - it is a big bouncy palace. He was a little hesitant at first, but we think he really liked it! They had an area that was especially for babies, so we mostly stayed there, but he did go down the big slide 4 times. My friend Shannon came too, and brought her daughter Scarlett. We are going to start taking Wills more on the weekends...because he was WORN out afterwards! (worn out = 3 hour nap!) Here are some photos/videos...

The 1st Haircut...Before, During and After

Wills got his first haircut today! He did great! We went to Snip-Its - everyone there was very friendly and made it a great experience. His new style is super-cute and even has the hint of a mowhawk :)

Here are some before pictures. The first two are from yesterday, when Wills was playing in the backyard. He loves sticks, pinecones and pinestraw.

The "Before" shot this afternoon before we left. Check out those flyaway wings.

Happy Halloween!

We went to a neighborhood Halloween party this evening before the trick or treating began. Wills was a skeleton today - a comfy yet cute design :) We stopped to visit with some neighbors on the walk home, then had a few folks drop in for a while - it was a fun evening!

Here is a picture of one of our neighbor's house - the photo doesn't do it justice - it is especially spooky in the dark, with a strobe light, scary music, and a fog machine!

And finally, here is a picture of my and my fellow-managers at work today - we all wore a different wig to celebrate the holiday and get some laughter out of everyone. That's me with the blondo afro :) I got quite a few stares, some high-fives, and lots of laughs!

What a weekend!

Well, Wills and I have both been sick, so it was quite an interesting weekend. Just when we were getting him on a good night-time schedule, he came down with a stomach bug. It's taken us several days just to get him feeling good again. We had a good, low-key weekend. We took Wills to his first pumpkin patch - he picked out a round, fat pumpkin :)

He also had fun playing in the front yard on Sunday afternoon, while it was still kind of warm outside. He likes to play with sticks and leaves.

Last weekend I went to visit my friend Brooke in Baltimore. We had a great time...and Tim and Wills had a boys weekend at home! Here is a pic of Wills in the cute winter hat that Aunt Brooke bought for him, and below that is a photo of me and Brooke!

And here is a final cute pic of Wills playing at the window and like 6am on Sunday morning :)
