Some new pictures...

My mom came down to visit this weekend...an opportunity to see Wills and to babysit while Tim and I went out to dinner to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. On Saturday during the day, the four of us went to the Marietta Square (historic downtown Marietta - www.mariettasquare.com) to do some window-shopping and have lunch, which was great. Here are a few pictures that we've taken recently.

We discovered a new way to give Wills some tummy time and to let him practice holding his head up. Check him out!

Wills was all smiles this morning when he woke up (at 6am...too bad for me!). Here are a couple of pictures...

Wills is 1 month old!

Wills turned one month old on Saturday, and my best friend from home, Brooke, came to visit us in Atlanta! She flew in from Baltimore on Thursday and stayed until Sunday. We had a great weekend - we even took Wills to his first Oktoberfest in our neighborhood!

Wills is really growing. He had his 1 month checkup on Friday - he got a great review! Here are his stats:

Weight - 9 lbs, 13.5 ounces (50%)
Length - 22.25 inches (75%)
Head - 15 inches (50%)

I was so excited that he had gained weight - he is really starting to fill out. He is also making good eye contact and smiling at us - it is so awesome to watch him grow!

Wills' First Night Out

We took Wills with us for his first night out on Saturday - we went to a mexican restaurant with our friends Shelby and Kevin, Chris and Brooke, and Pat and Hannah. We had a great time and Wills was great!

Here are some other pictures from the past week. Mostly bathtime and naptime. Wills has started gaining weight, which means we are able to feed him on a more normal schedule. He is sleeping great at night, and has been pretty easy during the day too. He is growing so fast - lifting his head during tummy time and making eye contact. It's hard to believe he'll be 4 weeks old on Thursday!

The past week...

We've had a great week with Wills. My mom was here with us for the first week home from the hospital, and Tim's mom was here with us for the second week. Thank you so much, grandmas - we couldn't have made it without you! Now Tim, Wills and I are officially on our own...so far, so good :)

Stephanie, Robert, Bo and Louise were here last weekend - the cousins finally got to meet, and Wills loves his aunt and uncle!

Wills had his 2 week checkup on Friday and all is well. He has not been gaining weight as quickly as we'd like (he weighed in at 8 pounds, 9 ounces), so he is now on a strict eating regime - every two hours until Tuesday! As you can imagine, Tim and I are exhausted - at least we have the weekend to sleep during the day when Wills sleeps.
