1st Trip to the SC Children's Museum

For their birthdays, Grammy and Big Daddy gave Wills and Jules family passes to the Children's Museum.  I took Jules for the first time, and she, of course, loved it!  Then we met up with Wills and Tim for dinner at the kids favorite...Monterreys!

A Busy Saturday! Albino Skunk!

It was a busy Saturday for us - we took Jules to a trampoline park for the first time, then we went to Albino Skunk Bluegrass festival with the Olmerts...such a fun time for everyone!

Elsa on her birthday

For Jules' birthday dinner, she chose Mellow Mushroom.  She also chose to wear her Elsa dress from Grammy and Big Daddy to the restaurant.  Then, she received gobs of accessories from Aunt Stephanie and family, and she chose to wear them all!

Happy birthday, Julie Belle!

How can she be 4 already?

It seems like just yesterday...

Is she really already 4 years old?  I know, she has looked like she's 4 for about a year now, but now it's official.  Sniff sniff!  She is the sweetest, smartest, funniest, silliest little girl, albeit stubborn, moody, and independent.  Like I read on a website the other day - I want my daughter to be strong-willed and independent, just not while I'm raising her :)

Happy birthday, "Jules/Elsa/Pirate Fairy/Izzy" (as she now calls herself)!

Jules - "Let me take a selfie!"

If you've ever been around Jules and a smart phone, then you know to keep it out of her grasp.  Otherwise, you'll end up with a stream of her selfies.  Case in point - last night I had dinner with some friends and we were discussing this favorite pastime of Jules, and one friend said - "I think I have a few of Jules' selfies on my phone!"  Sure enough, she did :)

Here's what I found on my camera stream:

First Lost Tooth!

It was a big weekend for Wills Ryan - he lost his first tooth on Friday and learned to ride his bike on Saturday!

His two front teeth on the bottom have been "wiggly" for a few months now - but it wasn't until we went to the dentist 2 weeks ago that we realized his permanent teeth were already well on their way out. The dentist gave Wills 2-8 weeks to get those suckers out, and here we go!

Wills lost it at school on Friday - he said he bumped his head on the playground and went to the nurse, then went back to his classroom and his tooth felt "even more wiggly".  I guess he pushed it right out.  He went back to the nurses office and got a tooth necklace on a green string to save it.  He was so proud!

The Tooth Fairy was very generous!  5 bucks!

Pics of the bike riding to be posted soon!

Good Times at the Lake

We didn't get to the lake as much as we wanted to this summer, but when we were there, we had a great time!  The kids love riding in the boat, swimming at the lake, and fishing off the dock. And playing Jenga!
