An iPad Monster

We've created an iPad Monster. Anytime Wills sees the iPad, he wants to either play games or watch a movie. His favorite game is the oldie-but-goodie that we all remember from middle school in the early 90s - Oregon Trail! It is now animated and a little too complicated for me, but Wills loves it. He calls it "Go, Buffalo, Go" - why, I have no idea.

Wills loves to draw these days - with crayons, markers, his magna-doodle, and on his chalkboard/dry-erase board. His favorite things to draw are pirate ships, snakes, and us. Here are some pics of drawings he did the other day. WARNING: Wills is not in a very photogenic stage right now - he tries to smile and say cheese, but I can never catch him at the right moment.

Jules is about to crawl...any...day...now! She gets up on her hands and knees and just rocks back and forth - it is so cute! Why is my baby growing up so fast????

Jules is really moving around, and she is fascinated by all of the toys (and as you can see, I do mean all of them) in the playroom. You can't really tell here, but her teachers put her hair in the cutest little pony tail on top of her head :)

I do have sad news though...Jules has her first ear infection. She was diagnosed around 5/1 - I took her to the doctor because she was waking up in the middle of the night, which is unusual for her, and she was acting kind of cuddly and lethargic at school. Sure enough, she had double ear infections. She was on an antibiotic (amoxycilin) for 10 days, but just didn't seem to rebound to her normal self. I took her back to the doctor and she still had small ear infections in both ears, so she's on a 2nd round a different antibiotic. This one (knock on wood) seems to be doing the trick.

Wills is riding a bike!

Around Easter, I stopped by a flea market (my first time ever doing this) and found a little bike for just $8! Tim and I have been talking for a while about whether or not Wills was ready for a 2 wheel bike, and always thought we'd wait til his 4th b-day. But when I saw this deal, I couldn't pass it up. Turns out, he was definitely ready!

The johnny-jumper definitely isn't Jules' favorite toy, but if she's in the right kind of mood, she likes it. Wills loves acting super-silly to make her laugh while she's in it.
