Hanging out
Jules loves to see what's going on around her. Here she is hanging out with Tim and Wills in the playroom.

Jules is eating rice cereal!
Now that Jules is 5 months old, we figured it was time to let her try some real food. Of course, that means rice cereal. Now, I was expecting that it would take at least a few days for her to get the hang of it...boy, was I wrong! She tried it for the 1st time on Saturday, and by Sunday she was literally grabbing the spoon from my hand to get it in her mouth. I looked back to see how it went with Wills when we introduced solids, and saw that we started at about 4 1/2 months. It took him about 2 weeks to really get into it, though.
Day One...First bite:
She likes it!
Day Two...Gimme that spoon!

Check out my soccer skills!
Wills amazed me and Tim the other day at the park when we tossed the soccer ball on the ground and he just started dribbling it down the field - he knew exactly what to do! Even cuter is what he says when he plays..."check out my soccer skills!"

Happy Valentines Day!
Wills wanted to give his teachers at school (Ms. Shari and Ms. Hutchins) one thing and one thing only - "heart shaped cookies with red sprinkles". We had a lot of fun making them together on Sunday. He gave all of his friends at school Batman valentines with hershey kisses.

Tummy Time and Cuddling
Jules is getting better and better at tummy time - she'll do it for about 7 or 8 minutes before she starts to cry. She rolled over for the first time on Friday - I had her on her stomach, I looked away, and when I looked back 3 seconds later, she was on her back! I can't believe I missed it!
Today when we got home, the only thing Jules seemed to want was her Daddy. Check out how sweet she and Tim look in these pictures - she was so content with him. They ended up taking a little snooze together before her bath.
What's Wills Up To These Days?
Just about everything! If he is not asking "why?"..."but why?"..."but, Mommy, why?", then he is:

- dancing around
- screeching and squealing
- trying to make his baby sister laugh
- doing his favorite dinosaur floor puzzle
- making me or Tim do his favorite dinosaur puzzle
- riding his "motorcycle" (which is really his tricycle)
- playing fireman (I usually have to drive the invisible pumper truck behind him and go "woo-oo, woo-oo, woo-oo" while he sings "woo-oo, ding-dong, woo-oo, ding-dong"
- asking for newnies (fig newtons) and juice
- asking to watch his favorite shows (Beranstein Bears, Fireman Sam, Chuggington, Special Agent Oso, Sam I Am)
Whew! Every day is an adventure with him. He is so darn sweet.
Aquarium with Grandma and Grandpa!
Grandma and Grandpa were here last weekend, and we had a great visit! We took the kids to the aquarium on Saturday morning, and Wills loved it! He said his favorite part was the sharks, but I think his favorite thing was the huge fish tank with divers inside.
